This is a support group for mothers who are breastfeeding childhood cancer patients, and their families, and also a forum for the exchange of research and information related to breastfeeding and cancer treatment. Lactation and medical professionals are welcome here for the purpose of sharing reseach information, but no medical or professional advice of any kind will be given to individuals here. All information or recommendations shared here should be thoroughly discussed with each patient's own physician, and the list and its owners take no legal responsibility for any opinion or information shared here.

Additionally, this is NOT a forum for discussing the role of breastfeeding in the PREVENTION of childhood cancer, although the mechanism by which cancer may be prevented in some children through breastfeeding may be discussed in so far as it sheds light on best breastfeeding practices and treatment for children who are already victims of this disease.

Our goal here is to share information and support, and encourage the development of a body of research and information helpful to young cancer patients who are continuing to breastfeed through treatment, and their health care professionals.
