The arteriogram detects more than just clogged arteries/vessels. It
will detect the corkscrew shaped arteries/vessels that are indicative
of Buerger's Disease. The arteriogram does not show that smoking is
the cause of this disease. Though little is known or understood about
Buerger's Disease, the research shows that smoking is, almost without
exception, the cause and that quitting smoking will control/reduce
the symptoms. Buerger's is not curable, but it can be controlled.
