Hi Kyna. My name is Jim. Sorry to here of your husbands trouble. His
symtoms sound the same as mine were. I was also in total denial
about this disease. I went to many different specialists and a
vascular surgen diagnosed me with beurgers disease. I had a bad
pinched nerve in my neck at the same time. Chiroprator sent me for
an mri which showed this but it was'nt my main problem. This helped
to keep me in denial however. It got so bad after 8 months from my
first symtoms that I finally quit smoking. I still can't believe I
have quit. It is a day to day struggle. I have'nt had a puff for 1
year and 10 days! I started feeling better after about 8 months and
now have gotten most of the feeling back in my hands and feet. I'm
so thankfull that all I lost was the tips of my index fingers. I
wish I would have quit right away. The doctors can't do a whole lot.
The only way is to quit smoking cold turkey. Your husband can do it
if I can. I was 2 packs a day for 22 years. I'm 42 now and am
starting to feel young again. I'ts great to get that smoking monkey
off your back!! Good luck.
