I have to agree that quitting smoking is the only thing that will "stop" this
disease. While you will all ways have it, it's effects will definitely be
minimized. I have been nicotine free for 5+ years and ahve to say that my
quality of life is better than before i was diagnosed with the disease. I lost 2
toes but was told it would eventually be my entire leg if i did not quit.
i now exercise regularly and any pain i experience can easily be controlled
with ibuprofen/tylenol.
You never are completely rid of this affliction but stopping smoking is the
only way to effectively combat it.
