Re: WHAT WAS GOING ON WITH YOU???

Thanks Suzanne,

I don't know the difference in Plavix and Coumadin. I cannot take
aspirin so my Doctor told me to continue the Plavix in place of an
aspirin and take Coumadin also. I assume the Coumadin is much
stronger.

I have been reading a lot about Buergers Disease and the more I read
the more I get the feeling that it is an allergic reaction to
chemicals and since everyone (particularly all smokers)is not
affected by Buergers then I don't believe that it is caused by
smoking. I do believe that smoking makes it worse and I believe it is
the chemicals in cigarettes that one is allergic to that is causing
the trouble.

I don't understand why young men were the major victims of Buergers
Disease in the beginning. I understand that more women smoke now but
it still doesn't make since to me that certain young men get it and
some women get it. If this disease was based on all smokers male and
female, and all smokers male and female would develop Buergers
Disease then wouldn't we have an epidemic on our hands or should I
say our elbows. (THIS SHIT AIN'T FUNNY)

Someone out there needs to dig into this disease before it does
become epidemic. If they really believe that smoking cigarettes is
the culprit, get rid of them, let the cigarette companies and their
owners take a loss not man-kind. Sometimes it's not enough to slap a
babies hand, you have to put it out of their reach. I admit that when
it comes to cigarettes, I am a big, big baby. If I can get my hands
on one I will smoke it. "I know exactly where you are coming from
Suzanne". I keep a pack of cigarettes in my purse. Since June 7, 2004
I have not taken more than 3 drags of one or two cigarettes per day.
I feel guilty and that I have not succeeded in quiting. I hide this
from my family and friends. I WANT TO LIVE HAPPY, HEALTHY AND WHOLE,
I DON'T KNOW WHY I AM SO STUPID TO SMOKE. I ONLY KNOW THAT IF I COULD
NOT GET THEM, I SURE AS HELL WOULDN'T ROLL THEM FOR MYSELF.
IT MAKES SINCE...THE WHOLE WORLD WOULD BENEFIT IF THERE WERE NO
CIGARETTES!

With that said, I would still like to know if there is a link to the
women that are coming down with this disease. The chemicals used for
fake nails and polish sure do ring a bell with me.

When they say more women smoke now so more women get Buergers Disease.

What about...more women...pump their own gas
work with chemicals
stressed etc. etc. etc.
Any input would be welcome.

Thanks Everyone, Kathy in South Carolina
