my husband has this disease. it first started on his feet. we had went
fourwheeling with some of our CHURCH and we got stuck in a mudd hole and we
first
thought that he had got some kind of fungus from the stagnet mudd hole. he went
to the doctor and they tried treating it with differant meds but it was
getting worse. then they thought that he had rocky mountain spotted fever. still
was not getting any better.he had like this rash or spotted stuff on his feet.
went to a dermatologist he ran test for lupus , reynaunds and i don't know what
all else .it had the doctor really puzzled. then when i had said something
about his smoking i thought he would die. he said i know exactly what he has
now. it was this disease beurgers. they did a test that showed his arteries and
sure enough thet were corked screwed. this is a positive way to tell if you
have this disease. he got so bad. it went into one of his fingers and it was a
nightmare . he slept sitting up for a least 3months. his finger looked liked you
had poured acid on it . it was all black looking and he was in terrible ,
terrible pain. they were worried that he was going to cut it off. he got a
second
oppioun from a vascular doctor but he was going to send him to a surgeon to
cut it off but i took him back to the dermatologist and he told him that with
the GOOD LORD'S HELP AND his he would try and save his finger and i THANK GOD
THEY DID .he stopped smoking for a while but he is smoking again not has much
but he is. he can not stand for his hands to get cold either. he has had 3
bypasses on his heart and after this he had to have a bypass on his left leg. i
think this was from the beurgers but the doctor says it only effects the small
vessels. i THANK GOD that he is still okay but i HATE that he is still
smoking because i know if it flares up what he will go through and it is AWFUL
to
see someone you love go through that kind of pain . if you ever need to talk my
