Dating someone with Buerger's Disease   Message List

I have been dating someone with Buerger's Disease whom I love very
much. Their leg was amputated approximately six years ago, and until
I read this site, I really did not realize how horrible a disease
this really is. The person I am speaking of never smoked and still
developed this disease, does anyone have any information regarding
this disease? Is it hereditary or genentic, is it associted with or
can it also be caused by diabeties? Has anyone actually tried any
blood thinner other than cumadin, and does this disease attack any
internal organs? Does the pain every do away? Are there any medical
trials being conducted? Who is the spoke's person for this horrible
disease and what kind of research in being conducted and where is it
being conducted. This is a good site to vent-but those suffering
from this disease need a cure-and that will only come from research.
Is anyone interest in starting a writing campaign to Congress and the
Senate regarding additional funding to help finding a cure for this
disease?
