I know what you mean. We make our choices.

I'm slowly picking up the pieces of my life now--
medication, physical therapy, the works--and hopefully
next year I will be fully recovered. My case didn't
require surgery. Thankfully I didn't develop gangrene
either. I quit smoking just in time. My doctors say
I'm so lucky, and I believe them.

Quitting smoking is the toughest thing I ever had to
do in my life. But it's the smartest I've done so far.
