Just to clarify a point.
Lumbar sympathectomy is used as a treatment in pain management.
Patients with Buerger's disease who are suffering a lot of pain may
be offered a surgical or chemical lumbar sympathectomy to help them
in their control of pain.
Lumbar sypathectomy is not the only choice available in the
management of pain control.
