Description

The Bereavement mailing list, founded in May of 1999 shortly after the death of my father due to a GBM, is for grieving family members and friends of whom have lost a loved one due to a brain tumor.

Please Note: Membership is restricted to those that have lost a loved one due to a brain tumor.

Privacy is very important to us therefore we do not have archives available thus, messages cannot be read from the web.

PURPOSE OF THE BEREAVEMENT LIST:

The List is designed to support family members and friends in their grief of losing a loved one due a brain tumor. Support is shared among list members via on line discussions. This is a different journey than the brain tumor journey. It is a grieving process in that hope is gone, as death has occurred. Now is when the past journey for many, including the nightmares of the journey needs to be grieved. Hopefully at some point the painful memories will recede and happier memories prevail.

It is intended to be a safe and private haven to share among others who have experienced a similar brain tumor journey resulting in death in hopes that NO ONE is left alone during this most difficult time.

Death due to a brain tumor is unlike any other loss and is not a part of the “Circle of Life.”

Note: All members have the option to upload photos, files and database information to the Bereavement group's private site. However, for website memorials, I highly recommend Virtual Memorials, which is A FREE SERVICE that has been active on line since 1996 so you don't have to worry about your loved one's memorial vanishing in cyberspace. Plus memorials can be kept private should one choose it to be private, they offer a vast assortment of website features and it is therapeutic to personally create a loved one's memorial.
