Were you involved in a living transplant as either a donor or a recipient, and suffered the loss of the other person as a consequence of the surgery?

I lost my husband after donating a kidney to him in 2010, and felt very alone afterwards. So I founded this group so that those of us in this rare situation can provide mutual support and understanding to each other. I also hope to increase awareness of issues surrounding living donation so that what happened to us does not happen to others.
This group fully supports the principles of organ donation, including living donation and presumed consent. It opposes payment to donors.
