Beijing Organic Consumers Association (BOCA)

We are Beijing and other China residents who care about Organic food and other aspects of healthy living/natural living. We are here to support each other, share resources, ideas & information. From "Where to find..?" to latest research and other interesting tidbits (Off Topic friendly here!).

The term "organic" in Mandarin is pronounced Yǒu Jī (you3 ji1) and the characters are 有机

We are not affiliated with any particular Organic service or store. By joining together, we aim to be an educated, forceful consumer group which can both support and expand the current Organic services and options in Beijing, and further our own health knowledge.

There are also Gluten Free, Vegan, Vegetarian, Raw Food, no/low sugar, chemical free, Feingold, and other special diet people/families here at BOCA who also have solutions and recommendations for living well in Beijing.

When there is a need for particular products not satisfied by local sources, non-profit Co-Ops within this group are encouraged. For items not found commercially in Beijing, contact the moderator who will help gauge interest in a possible co-op for that item. Our dedicated members have already run two successful Organic Flaxseed Oil co-ops and several imported Norwegian Salmon co-ops, & group bulk orders of Soapnuts, baking soda & white vinegar for chemical free cleaning too!
