Julie,
You have already received some fantastic advice on the diet and getting
started!
My little trick of the trade with my two boys in the beginning was to add a
bit of coconut oil, herbamare, and stevia/luo Han blend to their CV's.
The coconut oil tones down the sharp sour taste, the bit of sea salt and
spices in the herbamare bring out the natural taste of the vegetables along
with slightly confusing the taste buds. The sourness and salty ness sort of
blends into a new taste sensation!
The sweetness of the Stevia/Luo Han kind of gives the CV blend a sweet/sour
taste blend!!!
Go with small amounts and small bits. At first just a shot glass full eaten
with a cocktail fork or something of that nature!!
The stevia/Luo han blend is a god send! The luo Han really rounds out the
natural sweetness of the stevia giving it a fuller bodied more balanced
sweetness!!
This product can be purchased at Amazon.com too!

Julie,
Some mom's use cocobiotics and it is a good substitute to those who cannot
manage to do their own YCK. I have not tried cocobiotic. I dived into
cracking a case of coconuts right from the beginning. U could start with
cocobiotic and when u r inspired and motivated to crack coconuts (usually
when u start seeing postive results when u introduce any form of BED
recommended probiotics), u might find urself in the kitchen happily cracking
coconuts with no complains. My son loves the pudding/yogurt that I make out
of the spoonmeat. U will find that making ur own YCK is more cost effective
in the long run.
Ofcourse, the most cost effective way to introduce probiotics would be
through fermented veggies. I do YCK because it is mineral rich and potent
and has its own set of benefits. I think ur child will start enjoying CV's
when she has been off sugars for a while. My son naturally enjoys the slight
touch of sourness. Infact he prefers CV's to regular salads. U could start
by giving her v small amounts like a 1/4 spoon to start off. I would go
through the day thinking that it is "mission impossible' to introduce
everything on BED to my son but that was so far from truth. I think when we
r off sugars for a while, the tongue starts recognising cleaner foods. U
could search more threads on introducing CV's on the group site and Shannon,
a mom has taken some time to write how she introduced CV's to her kids. I do
ABA too for my son- so breaking every step into smaller steps to achieve the
goal seemed like the best way to go. One thing that worked for me is to act
v casual and
keep a straight face like we have been eating these foods forever and also
team less desirable food/new food with highly desired food. FIRST CV's THEN
Muffin/cracker worked for my son initaially. Now, he does not expect any
reward.U will get there too and soon u will have a lot to ur own experiences
to share with other new moms.
Please don't forget the 80/20 and food combining principles...they r the
strong pillers of this protocol along with YCK and CV's and are equally
important. Go slow and focus on ur intention to succeed whatever be the pace
U will get there for sure.
I am sure u will find more bedrok mom's helping u in this area and giving
their suggestions.
Good luck,
Sangeetha.

Hi Sageetha,
I was reading your post about this, was it hard to get your child
started on the cultured veggies? I have such a picky eater I don't
know how in the world I'd get her to eat these!
I ordered the cocobiotic drink, is that OK to start with?
Thanks,
Julie
