bangaloreMT.com believes in ZERO spamming. spamming or sending a
virus
is an international criminal offence. in india if cyber crime is
going
to happen a person can be arrested, it is said, even without a
warrant! the punishments are very severe under law.

bangaloreMT.com has found out the method used by the spammer. the
method is simple... spammer found out which yahoo ID is unmoderated
then he sent message to the group in the name of that yahoo ID from
servers that do not verify the senders address.

i can give an example if u did not understand the above. when u send
greetings from websites, it asks u for 'from' email id and 'to'
email
addresses. whatever address u put as 'from' even be it something
like
presidentofworld@... and send it to ur email address, u will
find in ur inbox that a mail has come from 'presidentofworld'. this
method is spoofing, but only that spoofers dont need a greetings
website to do this !

i would like to add that the message sent to groups was actually
neither
from 'bangaloremt' id or 'kitta' id though both are legatimate yahoo
ids, but rather these were used for spoofing since the spammer found
that messages from these ids were not moderated.

however, we have tracked the orginating IP address of the sender
from
where the message orginated...

if u want to see from where a spam has originated visit
http://www.geobytes.com/IpLocator.htm?GetLocation
and type the orinating IP address of the email sent to u. u can see
the orginating IP address in yahoomail by choosing to view full
headers option.

the problem has been solved now by moderating messages sent even by
moderators/group owners before being sent to groups.
