Hi Crystal:   I am not Ann Marie but Facebook is a free network available that is sort of like Myspace only to me it's much more user friendly.  On facebook you can set up your own individual account for free and put as much or as little information as you like and you register via email address.  You send invitations for friends to sign up, etc.   You can download pictures and keep photo albums on there and you can post things on your own board and communicate with other members of facebook and find friends, etc.   You can also establish groups on facebook which is what Ann Marie did and once you have established your own personal account you can join the Baltimore Bariatrics group.  On that site there is a place to have a discussion board and you can post upcoming events and things of interest to you so that you can share it with the group.   I personally post all of our vacation and family photos, etc and have saved a fortune in photo processing because my family and friends can look at all of our photos at know cost.  I never thought to post my before pictures and post about my weight loss until Ann Marie said something about checking out her profile but I plan to scan my pictures this week and do that.  Who knows - someone out there might be struggling and see one of our stories and realize there is hope.   And since you are new to this - welcome.   Kathy Reynolds --- On Sun, 1/4/09, crystal_carrington2 1230 <crystal_carrington2 1230@yahoo. com> wrote: From: crystal_carrington2 1230 <crystal_carrington2 1230@yahoo. com> Subject: [baltimorebariatric s] Re: Facebook To: baltimorebariatrics @yahoogroups. com Date: Sunday, January 4, 2009, 2:10 AM Hi Ann Marie, Forgive me but I'm new this and am curious as to what the "Facebook" is and how it works.
