Hi.
I just made a banana bread from a book called "WOW This is sugerfree"
It involved putting sme prunes and orange juice in a blender and using "Stevia"
It was totally delicious. 3 kids (my husbands) and three adults all ate lots of it, and never questioned the lack of suger.
Stevia is a plant, and it is the root that has been ground up for a sweetner.
It is available in health food stores, or whole food stores. You get the larger powdered one for about 9 bucks or so, and 1 teaspoon of it equals a cup of suger.
So then when you eat something "sweet it is actually all good food for you!! No guilt and you are eating healthy!!!!
I also exchanged 1 1/2 cups of white flour for whole wheat. WOnderful wonderful wonderful...I am excited becasue I haven't baked in a long time, and I was really happy with it.
If you can't find recipes with Stevia, you could use diabetic recipes and replace the chemical sweetners with Stevia. Also aspertane causes depression, ( ! ! ! ) and there are studies going on that are looking at if it causes the same fluctuations of glucose that sugar does...Interesting isn't it.
I dont know if you are looking for main dishes or breads or what, but I will be glad to communicate with you about it. marykay102@.... I am in process of relocating out of state so it may be a while before I can spend time on it though.

It's been 5 years for me and I am interested in talking to other brave
souls who love Dr. Roe and his staff as I do. Looking for receipes to
share, members in area who would like to get together for walks.
