Hi Stacey
Nothing's normal anymore, not that it was with any of us before we
decided to have this surgery.
I have lost 80 lbs and 6-8 dress sizes since last October and I have
days where I feel like nothing in my closet is going to make me look
like the "perfect" image in my head. No mtter how many times my
husband tells me how good I look or people at work tell me they can
see that I have a waist. And then there's days when I get up in the
morning, put on my clothes and am amazed at the change in my body.
I have a friend at work who had the same surgery a year before me so
we talk a lot. It really helps having somebody else who went through
the same thing and hear the same fears and concerns from them that
are running through your own head. Makes me feel a little less
crazy :-)
Your weight loss has been amazing from what you've said and it's
going to continue as long as you follow the rules as best as you
can. And, go to as many support meetings as you can. Nothing's
better than hearing other people in the same situation, viocing the
same fears and celebrating the same successes as you.
Congratulations and good luck!!!
