I do drink the diet soda, but only after having stirred the carbonation out of it. I try to avoid the aspartame ones after hearing a lot of negative about it, and I do often add the whey protien powder.
Using the flavored diet sodas helps me to get in my amount of protien, but I definitly get the bubbles out first...I have a tornado cup

which is a cup with a battery operated whirly gig in the bottom that mixes things up and I love it for the soda protien beverage...whirls it right up, and no overflowing of the carbonation, any kind of container and a spoon will be fine though....
SInce the sweets are pretty much gone, I enjoy flavor where ever I get it. The whey powder comes in chocolate or vanilla, so it can be like an orange or rootbeer float.
