I hate snaps (poppers, snap-fastners) too, but to a lesser degree. I choose not to wear them rather than with buttons where I absolutely CANNOT wear them....

It's a shame when people are so judgemental. A lot might mock you and say they don't have any phobias but I bet if you quizzed them they would maybe run a mile...
But you have to admit that our phobia is pretty far out there. Spiders, parachuting and talking to a room full of people have some grounds for causing fear...
