Ayurveda is purely a Vedic Science, revealed to the ancient Rishis, several thousands of years ago, who sat in prolonged meditations for hundreds of years, to grasp the meaning of life and life processes. What was revealed to the Rishis as Word from The Supreme was placed before a Council of Rishis and their diciples for a charcha, which lasted for hundreds of years. It is wholly indigenous in origin and directly rooted in Vedic Hinduism. The modern Western culture cannot fully comprehend the thoughts and arguments in the Vedas.
