You mentioned sleeping on your left side. I think it is a blessing
that you cannot sleep on that side. Sleeping on the right side keeps
the left nostril open. Keeping the left nostril open will relax the
body, which you want todo when you sleep. The reverse is true for
sleeping on the right side.

Do exercises like shoulder stand and plough, which relax the legs an
bring the blood from the legs back to the heart. Exercises like
sitting front stretches are also excellent.

at night I have very achy legs and am always tossing
and turning throughout the night. I have always slept on my left
side
for the most part but these past years it is impossible to sleep on
side at all for any length of time.
