You have already received a good suggestion to take care of poor
blood circulation to legs.
While many aching joints, especially in morning, do suggest progress
of Rheumatism, Aamvata in ayurveda, the non-availability of access to
ayurvedic vaidya in neighbourhood makes this author suggest some home
remedies and dietary changes.
First step is giving some rest to digestive system according to
yout body strength and try to strengthen digestive system,
which often helps. Taking ginger decoction during rest to digestive
system helps cooking ama, so that it can be easily eliminated. Author
witnessed very simple way to eliminate sciatica and even arthritis
pains by using simple ginger and castor oil. You may see the
messages#2765, 2841, 3454, 12819, the last one giving one testemonials too.
Green gram dhal, green gram soup, rice stored
for more than six months, tender coconut water, barley water, warm
water (Ushnodaka) etc can be taken. Unpolished hand milled rice is best. If
available, take skimmed milk of cow or goat. Rest is also a best medicine.
Avoid heavy to digest legumes, cold drinks, non vegetarian items,
salty farsan, oil massage, hot spicy food containing
chilies, fried items, bakery items, sour and fermented items are
contraindicated under this condition.
Excess exercise, sex, food indulgence make the discomfort more
complex and pushes beyond cure.
Home remedies given here cannot substitute advise of an expert.
A pack made from Multani mitti (Fuller's earth), neem, tulsi, camphor
etc. gives a temporary relief by sucking toxins from blood, and
causing increased blood flow to joint.
Heat mustard/sesame oil with ajwain and massage by this oil. You may
add turmeric, ginger, garlic to this oil, and keep it just bellow simmering
temperature till garlic
turns brown. Ensure that garlic is added last, so that giner,
turmeric, ajwain have enough time to enter the oil. The oil will have
saffron color in the end.
A decoction of ginger powder (1/2 tsp), turmeric (1/4 tsp),
taken with a tsp of honey twice a day will help in restoring blood
circulation to some extent.
Take half a bucket hot water, add about a fistful of sea salt to it.
Add Magnesium sulphate (Epsom salt) about 20 grams to this. Now put
your legs upto knee in the bucket, while sitting on a chair. You can
pour this hot water on knees so that it goes back to the bucket. Do
for 10-15 minutes, only once a day.
Reduce salt content in the food and substitute iodized
salt with sea salt or other natural salts. There is an intimate
connection between muscular aches and minerals, which author
has discussed in a separate post.
