Good luck David, I found that I was nervous and excited all
rolled into one the week before surgery.
I also thought that I would never be able to enjoy my favourite
foods again which I have proven wrong.
My best hospital tip is when they give you something to eat,
have a small amount and then go for a walk up and down the corridor.
Have you had your last supper??? I don’t know why but
everyone I know went out to dinner the week before their surgery. I seems to be
a rite of passage. I actually said “goodbye and thanks for being there
but I don’t need you now” to big portions at my last supper. OK, a
bit whacky but it was something I needed to do.
Let us know how you go
