Hello Kylie
Welcome to this group. We all seem to be busy being thin(ner) here so sometimes
it can
be fairly quiet.
Do you still have your band and have you kept off any of the weight that you
lost with it?
There are some similarities in how you eat after banding and sleeve/bypass.
IMNSHO - it is vitally important for us to work on our head/heart issues because
surgery is
only a tool to help us. By itself it doesn't work magic. We need to help it.
I'll let you in on a secret. Most of my life I've done anything to avoid
exercise (there were a
couple of periods when I did it but mainly I stayed well away from it). Now I
get crabby if I
miss out on going to the gym for a couple of days and I've even caught myself
jogging
down the street. Not bad for an old chook of 50+!!!!!
Next week I am off to Canada and Alaska. Travelling this time is going to be
heaps easier
than it was before surgery. No more seat belt extenders. No having to squish
into seats
with crabby people sitting next to me thinking I'm taking their space. I have
energy now.
Bouncing away
Katrina
