Re: [Autoerotic Asphyxiation Support] AEA article on MSNBC...

Deb,
I know what your saying. you want them to just SAY IT! say it outloud, say it on
tv, take the filth out of it and just say the damn words! so when we have to
explain it its not so shameful. and we wont get those looks like our loved ones
were freaks.

I cant help but wonder if this was something people (the MEDIA) discussed and
took the stigma out, would our loved ones have been able to come to us? would
they realized they needed help? the media does such a disservice by keeping
quiet about this.

a lot of times a suicide victim will seem happy, seem elated, more happy then
they had been in months. and thats because they have accepted the fact that they
were going to be free from their own pain. with the AEA victims, the big
difference is most of the time they were naked! why would you get naked to kill
yourself? if they arent naked they have evidence on their computers, porn,
shared this with someone else, etc. there are always markers that point to AEA.

I guess having the FBI involved would rule out murder. I felt that my son was
either murdered or he killed himself for months. becuase its easier to
undersand, I guess? I know now it was neither, it was AEA.

Carol
PS- yes my son was fit also, worried about how his body looked etc. he always
wanted to look good.

family member did this. I know my mom doesn't - although she's glad it wasn't
suicide. I don't think getting the FBI involved is going to do any good.

seemed to be happy, also. He actually loved living life to it's fullest. He
was very into fitness and running and biking, etc. Is there some commonality to
this personality?
