It is hard to cope with. Know this site has a lot of support. Even if people
aren't posting regularly, it is a community and we know each other are there.
Some family do not want to accept the fact that their child died from AeA and
try to blame others by saying it was suicide.
Imagine the pain you go through when you are dealing with this, decisions about
pregancy and have to constantly defend yourself from something you did not know
about.

I too went through what you are going through. I am sure it is even harder
when you have to explain to a child. Our son was only 4 when this happened
and his father and I were not living together at the time. It has been 4
years now since Shawn passed and although I cant get the view of finding him
after 2 days, strangled, bound and with a vacuum cleaner on his private.. it
has gotten better, sometime my son forgets what he looks like and reminds
himself with stories and pictures.. and you do move on. but I promise it
DOES get BETTER! Take things day by day and don't hide it from anyone,
feeling as if it is a secret to keep makes things harder. educate yourself
and others, the more that know about AEA the better off we will be.. this
isn't just a closet issue.. more people know then they care to say .. they
just don't know the RISK

I know that the pain is unbearable. You will receive lots of support here.
Please try to post as often as you can, I know that it helped me a great
deal when I lost my precious husband over 4 years ago. Having contact with
others who knew exactly what I was suffering was so very important to me and
provided my with an outlet for everything that I wanted to say or ask. I
always got an answer am indebted to those who gave their support despite
their loss and suffering. I am so sorry that you are experiencing this.

My twelve year old son found my husband in the hot tub dead from this.
I am still in shock and did not know what this was until this happened
and I researched it.
