Dianna is right. The last part of the brain to "die" is the area that causes
sexual arousal. That's why men that were hanged earlier in the century always
got an erection. It is not too far to jump from playing the "choking game"
without sex to AeA. Imagine a 12 - 13 year old boy that played the choking game
and had an orgasm do you really think he wouldn't do it again? Sadly I believe
just as using plastic bags leads to using belts and ropes the choking game can
lead to AeA. Having said that I do believe some of our young men went straight
to AeA because of the rumor of the best orgasm. People are uncomfortable
talking about sex therefore some people prefer to say the choking game. And if
it gets the word out I guess that's okay. I must admit I really hate the looks
I get when I tell people my son died from AeA. So if it is a causal meeting I
just say when asked how he died "accidently hanging". I know it's the chicken
way out but
I don't want to explain how wonderful Neal was and try to convince total
strangers that he wasn't a "sicko". For friends with kids I tell them the
dangers.

Some say there is no connection. I don't believe that. Some kids do the choking
game with just the blocking of oxygen. But some add the erotic element. There's
barely a difference, the high, the means of death, is the same. If the kids
doing the choking game, hear that you can get a great orgasm while doing that,
what do you think they might do next? Because of the sexual element, I think a
lot of parents don't mention the erotic part, to save their child embarrassment
or simply to make the actions simpler to explain to others. So many think the
sexual element is weird, etc and you get these looks like your kid was a freak.
And they aren't. But do remember that a lot of these kids are just doing it for
the head rush. One small difference in my opinion. No difference actually.

I work at a hospital, and I read this one new article that mentions
this "choking game":
http://www.physorg. com/news14648987 1.html
Can anyone here kindly confirm for me that this so-called "choking
game" is just another veiled reference to, or euphemistic phrase for,
AeA?
I just want to be sure I understand the lingo for how kids and
parents may actually be describing AeA.
Thank you for any feedback.
