Cheers! I was in court today, defending my son from the neighbor that thought
that he was going to get away with laying a hand on my boy, because Amir was
playing with the gate and the “noise” bothered him because he was watching TV.
Last week we had a hearing in which neither the police officer nor him showed up
but I got to talk to the judge (female). I agreed to drop the charges and she
agreed to teach him a lesson. OK so today he claimed that Amir was in the
middle, playing with the gate and he could not get trough the entrance and that
is why he grabbed him. The judge’s answer: DO NOT TOUCH THE KID. IF YOU HAVE ANY
COMPLAIN, GO TO THE KID’S MOTHER. “She is, like any other mom, very jealous with
her kids, and her kids are autistic and you knew it.” And she went on lecturing
him about how to treat children with disabilities and the kind of considerations
he should have towards us. Wow. I feel so relieved. Some people criticized me
for taking this too far, but no one should lay a
hand on a kid regardless if the kid is handicapped or not. And no one touches
my kids!
