It was very good to hear the heart of Deirdre and Don IMUS with Larry King last night. She had visited members of Congress with a friend who had an autistic child ... and they were lobbying for legislative help to get to the bottom of what is the cause of autism. They felt Members of Congress should have asked what it was like living with a child who was autistic and coping with every day issues they deal with.

Deirdre was concerned about the preservative in vaccinations for children that is a neurotoxin. When their child, Wyatt, was vaccinated, they requested the shots that did NOT have this neurotoxin. And of course, they do not know conclusively that shots are the cause.

My thoughts are that many children are being born today who have some of their 'allowable' chemical load ... already there. Meaning, that parents and grandparents have many times been poisoned by ethylene glycol monobutyl ether (New name is 2-butoxyethanol) This chemical is a teratogen; it can cause reproductive harm. Other pesticides/solvents are, too; however, this one is in widespread use since before WWII and it is not recognized. We don't have something wrong with our genes as much as we have multiple generations of chemically poisoned people.

The thing you will learn about chemical exposures, is that when there is a chemical overexposure, you need to avoid other chemicals as much as possible or other things start to pile on ... like asthma, like Multiple Chemical Sensitivities, like autism.

So for those children who were not born with autism, but it shows up later... I would in particular look at what the add on chemical exposures might be, and I'm talking about what is used in cleaning products, paint ... and, yes, even shots (but not as a direct cause) as another chemical that could cause 'overload' of one's system. Don't forget 2nd hand exposures to EGBE
