Welcome to the message board of Augusta Weight Loss Support Groups! Dr. Michael Blaney and Dr. Darren Glass have beeen awarded the highly coveted “Center of Excellence” status from the American Society for Metabolic Bariatric Surgery. Although the primary goal of our support group structure is to provide ongoing education and support for patients of Dr. Michael Blaney and Dr. Darren Glass, our support groups and this message board are open to anyone who has had weight loss surgery or is interested in learning more about weight loss surgery in the Augusta, GA area. You are welcome to become a member of our WLS family even if you had your WLS in another state or simply with another surgery program. Our mission is to create a cohesive WLS community where understanding, acceptance and continuing education provide a solid structure for a lifetime of success. Please join us for our support group meetings on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month at 7 pm The Hill Baptist Church, 2165 Kings Way, Augusta. We also have a newly formed support group in the Dublin, GA area meeting on the 3rd Monday of each month at 7:15 at the Aerobics Room Clark's Health Club off of Industrial Blvd in Dublin .
