RE: [attractorfieldtechnique] Kandel's Research

Hi Nels

Many thanks for putting us onto this.

I’ll certainly read Church’s book and share my thoughts.

Subject: [attractorfieldtechnique] Kandel's Research

Hi Group,

There are some things I would like to share that seem quite
interesting from my perspective.

If you go here:

http://www.the-tree-of-life.com/scientific_perspective_on_aft.htm

And review the portion of the paper that mentions Kandel, it begins
like this:

" Kandel's Nobel Prize winning research (1983,1998,1999) conclusively
demonstrated that the establishment of a single memory initiates a
process in which genes are turned on and off, and chemicals and
hormones are released, creating neural growth or plasticity within the
central nervous system itself. His work demonstrated that the
interaction of genetics and environmental experience is a two-way street."

This section has motivated me to further investigate Kandel's work and
it seems there is some ongoing progress in this field that is very
encouraging, and supports the processes involved in the application of
AFT, as well as other meridian therapies in overcoming our physical
and mental health challenges.

There is even a term that has been created to describe the interaction
between our mental processes and our wellbeing. It is called
"Epigenetics".

One example of progress in investigating this is a book written by
Dawson Church.

"The Genie in Your Genes is a breakthrough book linking consciousness
to genetic change. For the first time, a single book summarizes a
chain of remarkable scientific discoveries that in the new field of
Epigenetics (epi=above, i.e. control above the level of the gene) that
are the keys to healing. Citing hundreds of scientific studies, he
shows how beliefs and emotions can trigger the expression of specific
DNA strands."

I was just wondering if anyone has had a look at this book and what
your thoughts are on this subject?

Nels
