Since I have some computer time available to me I would like "stir up a bit of energy here" and make a few observations and welcome some discussion regarding various forms of energy work.
It is my impression that there are several members of this group who are practicing various forms of energy work and may have joined this group in order to find out more about what AFT has to offer that may be of value to their current work. And also those interested in finding out more details about what is offered on Kurt's website:
http://www.the-tree-of-life.com/
I would like to say up front that what is available at the website is just the tip of the iceberg of the true potential of AFT. After taking the three levels of training in July 2006 I can say that with total confidence as well as being amazed at its potential.
I also would like to inform members that Dr. Ebert is so busy with his work developing the techniques that he has very little time to keep people who may be interested, informed and aware of the continual development. This is both a concern and a reality for him is my observation.
Many members I am sure are already familiar with EFT as well as the various "cousins" that Gary Craig refers to. Although it seems similar to EFT in actual practice it approaches and addresses our self-limiting thought structures in more depth and with more precision. This is not meant to "knock" EFT or any other energy modality in any way. It simply takes a more in depth approach, based on the research and teachings of Dr. David Hawkins in a large degree as well as "A Course in Miracles."
Two things that separate it from all other energy medicine techniques is first, the use of Dr, Hawkins methods of kinesiological muscle testing and secondly in employing his "Map of Consciousness" as a reference point for uncovering subconscious thought structures that can rob us all of vital life energy.
An overview of the background scientific evidence to support the method is available at the website at the link "related articles". This takes some studying to understand and I can vouch for that personally having studied it for about three years myself just to get a handle on it.
At the same time one can just follow the instructions as posted on the website without knowing anything and still experience positive results. But like I said that is just the tip of the iceberg.
I have had several enquiries from folks familiar with EFT making the observation that AFT is "just too complicated so why bother with it when I already know EFT?" I would like to say that as far as I am aware, every AFT practitioner is very familiar with EFT and many other similar modalities and decided AFT was worth the extra effort to learn.
I therefore welcome any enquiries, comments or questions and if I can't answer them I will push the folks who can to respond.
So feel free to fire away!
Blessings,
Nels
