How often you need to do AFT varies on the condition and this is
specified in the manual.
For the addiction formulas it says:
"Begin substance control by first using the addiction
belief Formula for your particular addiction, and then performing the
Habit Control and
Withdrawal Formulas as needed. You only need to do the addiction
belief Formulas once,
unless you re-addict yourself by continuing substance use."
What this means is:
1) Find the belief formula for the relevant addiction and do this
ONCE.
This assumes that you have given up the substance at this point. If
you are continuing substance use, the implication is that you may need
to do this formula more than once - but how often you would need to do
so will vary by individual depending on their substance usage.
You will do youself no harm by tapping more than is needed.
2) Depending on your withdrawal symptoms and cravings, do
the "Withdrawal Symptoms" and/or "Habit Control" formulas as needed.
For a particular person this may be once a day or several times a day
initially, and would hopefully reduce over time.
I hope this clarifies - do let us know how you get on and if you need
further clarification.
The manual can be a bit daunting to the beginner so please do ask more
questions if you wish.
Regards
Mary
