Welcome to the online communication center for the real life community supporting autonomous and empowered birthing in Atlanta. We are a support, social and study group for Atlanta area parents planning or who have had an unassisted birth or a freebirth. Other supportive members of the local birth community are welcome if you have a desire to learn and teach. This is a truly local Yahoo group supporting a real life childbirth group, and sharing information about local issues and resources. If you just want to lurk & learn, I suggest you join c-birth or EmpoweredChildbirth.

If you are "UC-curious," you are welcome.

If you want to support UC but also want to support respectful, evidenced based attended birth where the evidence suggests that almost all the time, attendants should sit out of the way with their mouths shut :) you are welcome.

If you believe that birth is not a medical procedure and would *generally* agree with the statement, "Birth is as safe as life gets," you are welcome.

If you want to be a member, please contact the moderator, or get another member to tell the moderator that she knows you and you are not a teenage boy. Please be in the Atlanta area or close enough that you would be willing to show up for events & to support other list members where in real life contact is needed.
