The NATA doesn't REALLY expect us to follow all of these directions JUST to post a question of other athletic training educators? Athletic training educators are absolutely swamped with teaching, research, program accreditation issues and now these extensive directions to go through to post a question of other educators? If they want a think tank of their own....then so be it! But we need an independent and SIMPLE way of posting questions to one another and that is email listservs! It is by simply hitting a "reply" button and then a "send" button.

I'm not going to comment about the directions but I must say that it would be
nice to have a listserve that is independent (i.e. not owned, monitored,
controlled or in any way screened) by the NATA. This is not a criticism of the
NATA but most would agree that a truly open and free discussion where anyone can
feel that anything can be said is best achieved via an independent communication
network. The NATA think tank is an ok idea, but an independent network should
be available also, one that we feel confident is not prescreened for
controversial or even negative comments about the organization.

Hi Lori and group,

I received the instructions as well and found them a bit overwhelming and
confusing. Luckily, I checked out the think tank prior to receiving that email
and found it extremely easy to use. Those directions are very helpful for
people who want to do fancy stuff, but for those of us who really just want to
post and read others' posts it's as easy as 1, 2, 3.

1. Pick a think tank you're interested in
2. Click on a thread you want to read
3. Click "post" at the bottom and post your reply

If you haven't checked it out yet, I encourage you to do so!

Have a great day/weekend!
