Quick question to my esteemed
colleagues.
Have any
of you been audited 3 years in a row? I received an all too familiar
letter from the CAATE in June informing me that our program was being
audited. I know from the standards that 10% of the programs are “randomly”
selected annually. Well, our program has been audited 3 years in a row
and the auditing process has only been in existence for 4 years (as the letter
indicates). I have never been late with my annual report, which would
automatically put me in the audit pool…so I am not sure what is going
on. There are 345 programs in the U.S. certainly the odds of this
program being “randomly” selected 3 years is a row rates up there
with winning the lottery. Is anyone else having this “random”
experience?
This year’s audit is the
same as the audit I submitted in 05/06.
I would appreciate any insights
you might have.
