Dear ATEP Program faculty,
Kindly share the following information with your students.
I will be taking a group of students from the Montclair State University
ATEP to England during our spring break 2009. Tentative dates March
12-21 (Thursday-Sat) departing from Newark Airport. We are working with
Global Ed on campus and have been given the OK to open it up to other
ATEP students. Cost is around $2500 with 1/3 due Nov 1 and Dec 1.
Interested students need drop me an e-mail (subject line ENGLAND) from
their school account. This assures that they are in on all info that
goes out regarding the trip. The email should be followed by a snail
mail short letter of endorsement from their PD stating that they have
been accepted into an ATEP program and will be a student in good
standing at the time of travel (no probation/discipline etc issues). I
am old school and will be chatting with parents;students not willing to
agree to this need not apply. Passports need to be applied for now. I
need a xerox on Nov 1st.
Our group will be discussing the possibility of a one credit course in
September. The implication is that students with financial aid packages
may be able to cover some travel costs.
The focus of the trip will be l football, cricket and rugby injuries.
Visits to noted arena for the three sports, attending a lecture,
participating in a lecture , a service project and sightseeing. One of
our students hails from England as well a a faculty member in our dept;
so we will be relying heavily on their expertise in the planning. Thank
you for your time and assistance in disseminating the information.
