DEADLINE
FOR ABSTRACT SUBMISSION: October 15, 2007
Reports on experimental research, injury surveys, case
studies, and/or other research projects that are pertinent to the practice of
athletic training are welcomed from athletic trainers, physicians, exercise
physiologists, biomechanists, physical therapists, educators, and other health
care professionals. All abstracts will undergo blind review. Literature
reviews are unacceptable!
1. All abstracts must conform to the guidelines
established by the NATAREF Free Communications Program --- https://www.nata.org/forms/2007%20CFA%20First%20Draft.html
2. Forward the original abstract, a blind copy (one
that does not indicate any information concerning the author’s name or
institution) and a cover letter that includes the presenter’s mailing
address, city, state, zip code, work phone, fax, e-mail address, and NATA
membership number to kaminski@... If
you were a student at the time of the study, please indicate whether you were
an undergraduate or graduate student. A confirmation message will
be sent once the files have been received electronically. The preferred format
for electronic submissions is as Microsoft Word or pdf files.
3. If accepted for presentation, the original abstract
will appear as submitted in the conference proceedings CD-ROM. Be sure to
carefully check for spelling and grammatical errors before submitting the
abstract for review.
4. The majority of the accepted abstracts will be
presented at the EATA meeting in poster format; however some abstract
submissions may be targeted for oral presentations (2).
5. Any abstract submitted for presentation at the
Eastern Athletic Trainers’ Association (EATA) Annual Meeting and Clinical
Symposium is also eligible for submission to the National Athletic
Trainers’ Association (NATA) Annual Conference and Symposium. However,
abstracts previously presented at national or international meetings and
published elsewhere are prohibited.
6. EATA Abstract Research Awards are selected from the
yearly submissions and will involve 1 undergraduate and 1 graduate student
winner in each of the oral and poster presentation categories (total of 4 award
winners). Recipients are announced at the EATA Annual Meeting and given a
monetary award as well as a recognition plaque.
