Mark and colleagues.
Mark you are right on the money. Pre-season football camp and other sports is
an outstanding and vital learning opportunity for athletic training students.
We require the same of our student here at Arkansas. The entry-level masters
program is a little different however. All programs I think start in the summer
before instead of during the fall semester. Therefore, they are already on
campus prior to starting of pre-season. Here this as a requirement of their
selection in the ATEP they are required to be at all pre-season practices. In
addition, they are enrolled in KINS 5212 AT clinical I and this is a requirement
within this course.
I highly support Dr. Merrick's position.
