We are in the College of Health Professions. So, when the school
decided to hire a clinical coordinator for the AT program, I made sure
that the responsibilities, qualifications, etc. were similar to
Pharmacy, PT, OT, PA, and nuclear medicine. In other words, she has a
100% academic tenure-track position. If other professional programs are
doing it (i.e., some for accreditation purposes), why not AT? However,
the clinical coordinator and I may volunteer or supervise AT students
when requested by intercollegiate athletics.
