Re: Admission into ATEP

We admit during the fall of the freshman year. Students must complete our Intro
to AT course as well as 50 observation hours. They receive a letter over the
holiday break informing them if they have been admitted.

Pros - We don't waste their time for a full year if they can't cut the mustard.
We can reduce our numbers in the clinical setting significantly in the spring
semester. (We typically have 50 freshmen and admit 15-20).

Cons - We have to wait until final grades post after Dec. finals, which means
giving up some of the winter break to check grades and send out letters.
Students are informed of our decision only about 1-2 weeks prior to the spring
semester starting.
