Dear Fellow AT Educators,

When attending the CIE Training offered in Indianapolis this June, there was
some discussion of the use of journaling in conjunction with field
experiences and practicum classes. I would be interested to hear how this
technique is being used in other institutions. Some questions I have are:

What are the specifics requirements of the journals?
Do you give specific prompts or assignments?
Are students expected to carry their journals with them to their field
experiences?
Are students' journals graded?
What problems have you encountered?
What have been some of the beneifts of this tool?

I hope to see some discussion of this topic on the list. Thank you, in
advance, for sharing your experiences.
