Re: Clinical Hours (CAATE Standard E.1.10)

Thanks Mark...well said. Where I have run into problems is when the student is
a work-study recipient (through athletic training) and they have their "off
campus" semester long rotation in a sports medicine facility. Those students
lose their money unless they come back to campus and also "put in their time" on
campus.

If they do not claim their money for a semester they risk losing it. I try to
work with these students as best I can....simply for the fact that I had to work
my way through college...maxed out all my student loan options...and was bound
and determined to make it. Sometimes it is a matter of survival. Many of my
students are "on their own" in regards to paying for college...no one footing
the bill...I am sympathetic.

Are we having fun yet?

Janet
