Athletic Trainers:
Indiana State University will offer an Athletic Training Summer Honors
Program July 10-22, 2005. This two-week program is designed for
continuing high school students - Classes of 2006, 2007, and 2007. The
fee for this course includes room, board and tuition. Scholarships are
available. College credit is awarded for successful completion of this
course.
Course Name: Athletic Injury Prevention and Care
Course Description: Are you interested in athletic injuries and
illness? If so, the Athletic Training Summer Honors course will give you
insight into some of the reasons why certain injuries happen to
athletes. Also, you will learn about emergency treatment strategies.
This course will investigate the basic knowledge, skills and abilities
associated with certified athletic trainers and the athletic training
profession through lecture and laboratory.
To be eligible, students should:
Be ranked in upper 25 percent of their class; or
Maintained at least a "B" average; or
Be recommended by a teacher, counselor, or principal.
