Great post!!! I agree that we as ATC's have lost some focus of what got
us to where we are today, But I also caution the ATCs who are content
and have become complacent and just happy to have a job. There are also
a great deal of PT's in this state of mind. You're exactly correct that
the almighty dollar is the source of this attempted action. We have
been fortunate to have several MDs and specialists write letters on our
behalf. We have even had a few PTs agree with the ATC side and agree
that we should work together and not against each other. I strongly
encourage everyone to talk to their area MDs and even they sympathizing
PT's and have them draft letters on our behalf. I feel like too many
will sit behind and think that others will do the work and not write the
letters for themselves. This is the way wrong approach.
