Thank you for your interest in the athletic training profession. ATCs work
in the following employment settings:
high schools, colleges, professional teams, rehabilitation clinics,
physician's offices, chiropractic offices, industrial settings (Ford, GM),
with dancers in Las Vegas and Broadway, and stunt people in Los Angeles.
The employment areas continue to expand since we specialize in injury
prevention of the physically active.
Most ATCs have a masters degree, but there requirements are job specific in
relation to the education required. Most universities will require or at
least prefer a masters degree. In order to be a professor, one would need a
doctoral degree and this is a university requirement. All other levels do
not require differing levels of education.
