I found the following article to be great.
"Stefan Kavan, who will graduate from New Prague High School this spring, is
helping people understand what it's like to be autistic..."
[Sidebar:]
STEFAN ON AUTISM
It's hard to talk to friends. I don't understand their feelings.
I never lie. That can cause trouble. You may have to tell a white lie
sometimes.
I like to talk about trains, cow farms and Montana.
Learning facts is more enjoyable than socializing.
I passed my permit test, but I do not drive yet. I don't like traffic jams. At
all. It's a big responsibility to drive.
Fire drills and bells affect my ears.
In class, I sit in front by the door.
If I get too close to your space or hair, tell me. Be kind.
Getting to know Stefan
This article is the second in a series of stories following Stefan Kavan through
his senior year at New Prague High School. The first story on Stefan is
available at www.startribune.com/a3607.

Hold the door for the stranger behind you. When the driver in the adjacent lane
signals to get over, slow down. Smile and say "hi" to the folks you pass on the
sidewalk. Give blood. Volunteer.
