I think that will work for a male. I don't think it will work for a female.
Women are supposed to act more mature than males, even at six.
I haven't really formed a coping plan, other than to withdraw into myself.
That's not good, I know. But I get socially rejected over and over again. I
can't read moods. By the time I realize I'm being a pest, I'm beyond social
redemption. The other day someone physically attacked me. That person is
probably on the spectrum himself and has unacknowledged depression and most men
react to depression by becoming angry and he finds me very annoying. The last
time this happened I called the police and because I did not know to make eye
contact, they did not believe me. They believed him. This time, thank God their
were eyewitnesses and our minister talked to him, and we are to avoid each
other. That's not good enough I know, but I must do the best I can. This person
has more social status than I do. If I brought him down, there would be
repercussions that would not be good for me.

Now I see what you mean by anxiety, thankyou. At 16, and attending a
community college I am more aware than ever of my social limitations. But I
have a method that works to allow me to function; I act like I am six. I
ask innocent questions and make innocent remarks. This makes my social
mistakes fade away as just something which that cute retard who's good at
math did. I know that this might seem to be a self demeaning approach, but
you have no idea how much I respect 6 year olds.
