He has been oficially diagnosed, but is very high functioning. He
doesn't like when we go to AS or Autism functions because he tries
really hard not to look like he has AS. The problem is that when he
tries to look like he doesn't have it, it makes him look more like he
has it. :) I would love for him to talk to you, but I'm not sure I can
get him to do it. He doesn't really like the computer.

I'm in the exact opposite situation, Donna. My parents know about my
situation but they're the ones who seem to be in denial which is just
too frustrating for me to deal with. I would love it if they would
just make as much of a fuss as other parents seem to... I do
understand your son though. Knowing myself and the way I think, it
would be better if you wouldn't just force him to acknowledge it, that
would most likely make it even harder for him. Open acknowledgment
will eventually come naturally.
