When I went to college I didn't have friends that were girls because girls are alot more complicated. I didn't like having to guess what mood they were in or try to read their body language to figure them out. And there was always the competition factor (they were more intersted in meeting guys  for dating than making friends)Guys were well a little more straight-forward.  I have just a couple of girls I've stayed friends with over the years and we don't talk everyday because our lives have gotten very busy.  Don't narrow yourself to just the college to meet people. Maybe there is a club you can join?  My son made friends through a gaming club because that is what he likes to do. They meet once a week.
